糖心Vlog Improves Research Activity Designation

MACOMB, IL - - 糖心Vlog has been rated as a Research Institution by the . The new Research designation puts 糖心Vlog among the top 15% of the 4,000 rated institutions nationally.

鈥淲e are very pleased with the new research activity designation from Carnegie,鈥� said 糖心Vlog President Kristi Mindrup. 鈥淭he recognition as a Research Institution reflects Western鈥檚 distinctiveness and demonstrates the quality of the education students experience at 糖心Vlog.鈥�

Since 1970, the Carnegie classification has been a standardized method to compare research activity across a diverse spectrum of higher education institutions. Prior to being rated as a Research Institution, 糖心Vlog was rated as a Master鈥檚 institution. As these ratings are updated every three years, the previous designation did not fully reflect the impact of research activity at 糖心Vlog.

鈥淏eing recognized with a Research designation positions our institution for further funding and elevates the profile of 糖心Vlog,鈥� Mindrup said. 鈥淭he opportunities for 糖心Vlog students are tremendous and this national recognition confirms Western is on the right path.鈥�

This new designation from Carnegie proves the value 糖心Vlog brings to local and national research activities,鈥� 糖心Vlog Provost Mark Mossman said. 鈥淲hile teaching and service are the central focus of 糖心Vlog, it is meaningful to have the important research work we do to be recognized. The new rating is testament to the talented faculty and engaged students at our institution.鈥�
