Editor's Note: This is a series of stories about ÌÇÐÄVlog students, alumni and community members, highlighting their experiences during our 125th anniversary celebration. We will feature 125 individuals from August 2024 to August 2025.
MACOMB, IL - - For Kessiena Erebi, current public health graduate student, ÌÇÐÄVlog is characterized by its unique and impactful community.
"When I think about ÌÇÐÄVlog, I think about a supportive, engaging, diverse and beautiful community," Erebi said.
Erebi describes Leathernecks as individuals driven by strength and resilience.
Among her many memories at ÌÇÐÄVlog, Erebi's favorite Leatherneck memory will always be being part of a remarkable community.
"My favorite memory is being a part of the ÌÇÐÄVlog family and the close-knit community," Erebi said.
On campus, Erebi is involved with Wesley Foundation, a vibrant ministry serving students at ÌÇÐÄVlog.
As students consider continuing their education, Erebi highlights ÌÇÐÄVlog's welcoming and inspiring atmosphere.
"ÌÇÐÄVlog is home away from home, with a community of people who truly care," Erebi said. "It simply is a place that has a niche for each person, with a network of amazing people who help you grow and harness a strong sense of commitment to your true purpose."
As we honor 125 years of educational excellence, we invite local ÌÇÐÄVlog students, alumni, faculty and staff to share their stories and be featured in our series. Contact University Communications at U-Communications@wiu.edu to participate.
